We’ll be learning about historical periods that helped shape French Culture, and we’ll take a look at modern France through travelogues and virtual tours. We’ll try to cook some authentic French cuisine. We’ll be starting out with Emeril Legasse’s recipe for Quiche Lorraine. We made this the year before last and it was fantastic! For our second week we’ll be making a recipe we’ve never tried before called Cassoulet. Cassoulet is is a rich, slow-cooked bean stew or casserole originating in the southwest of France.
