This is a short unit intended for our last week of school. The 8th graders do the cooking as a kind of send off to high school. Of course the rest of us get to enjoy the delicious, greasy, bounty. We’ll have scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, and of course, bacon. We’ll learn about the origins of what is recognized as the “American Breakfast” and we’ll learn about how our breakfast food is produced from the processing plant to the table.
